Deeper Time-Saving Tips — Cutting Lines at Airports, Trains, and Theme Parks

  • Incheon Airport is split into Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2), and which one your airline uses varies — Korean Air, Delta, Air France, and a few others use T2, while most other airlines use T1. Double-check your terminal on your ticket before you leave, since arriving at the wrong one costs an extra 15–20 minutes on the shuttle bus.
  • At the City Airport Terminals in Seoul Station or Samsung Station (limited to certain airlines), you can check in and drop your bags early, then head to the airport hands-free and go straight to immigration — a much lighter way to ride the airport railroad.
  • For KTX or SRT, get a QR boarding pass through the Korail Talk or SRT app so you can board directly without waiting in line at a counter or kiosk.
  • At major theme parks like Everland or Lotte World, reserve popular rides in advance through the official app's fast-pass system so you skip the physical line entirely and just show up at your assigned time — open the app the moment you enter the park.
  • Check real-time subway crowding by line in the Kakao Map or Naver Map apps; avoiding rush hour (8–9am and 6–7pm) alone makes travel noticeably smoother.
  • Around Lunar New Year and Chuseok, traditional markets and many independent restaurants close for the holiday, so if your trip overlaps with one, it's safer to plan around chain restaurants and convenience stores.
  • Placing a pickup order in advance through a convenience store app (CU, GS25, etc.) means your order is ready the moment you arrive — handy for grabbing a quick meal in the short window before a concert starts.
