Korea's only film production prison set, built on the grounds of an abandoned former branch of Seongdang Elementary School in Wachho-ri, Seongdang-myeon, Iksan. The realistic prison scenes in the film were shot here, and over 200 films and dramas have been produced at this location. Upon entering the set, you'll find movie posters from past productions on display at the entrance, embodying the saying 'a magic box where movies are born.' The set consists of two floors with rehabilitation-themed messages posted throughout the interior and exterior walls. As Korea's only film production prison set, it has become a popular new tourist attraction, and the natural grass-covered sports field serves as both a relaxation space and photo zone for visitors. ◎ Experience the charm of Korean Wave cinema Korea's one-of-a-kind film production prison set has been used for dramas and films. Though built using a closed school, filming in the courtroom, solitary cells, interrogation rooms, and torture chambers creates an eerie atmosphere.
