The morning after the show
You stood for hours and ran for a train.
What you need the next morning is not sightseeing.
One of the three below does not exist outside Korea.
What a 세신 actually is
You soak in a bathhouse for about twenty minutes, then an attendant scrubs the dead skin off you with a coarse mitt.
Your skin is genuinely different afterwards, and the sensation is not one you forget.
It is closer to being washed than to being massaged.
What to know before you go
- You are naked. It happens inside the bathhouse and no towel is worn.
- The attendant is the same sex as you. Men are scrubbed by men, women by women.
- It stings a little. Dead skin is being taken off, so the pressure is firm. Say so and they will ease off.
- Some neighbourhood bathhouses still turn away visible tattoos. The tourist-facing spas generally do not mind, but it is worth checking before you book.
- It is not a jjimjilbang. That is the clothed, mixed-sex place with heated rooms; the scrub happens in the single-sex bathhouse.
What costs what
세신
se-sinUsually sold with the bathhouse entry included, sometimes with a massage on top.
Private-room versions cost a little more.
Arrive half an hour before your slot and soak first.
It hurts far less that way, and nobody writes this down.
헤드스파
he-deu-seu-paYour hair is washed while the scalp is worked over.
You lie back, fully clothed.
The price range is wide because the length and the number of scalp steps differ.
Some finish with your hair still wet.
If you have somewhere to be that evening, check whether a blow-dry is included.
전신 마사지
jeon-sin ma-sa-jiA full-body massage.
The places set up for visitors cluster in Myeongdong and Gangnam, and many sell a facial alongside.
Aroma, sports and gyeongnak are not the same pressure at all.
After a concert the firmer end is usually the right one.
Booking through this link costs you nothing extra — the price is exactly the same.
We separately earn a commission when the booking goes through.
Somewhere to recover, the day after
The spas set up for visitors cluster in Myeongdong and Gangnam. The body scrub exists only here, and walking in without a booking often means no slot.
Prices are what Klook showed on 19 August 2026. Treatments with the same name run to different lengths from shop to shop, which is most of the spread.
