The current Mungyeong Saejae Open Set was completed on April 16, 2008, after demolishing the previous Goryeo-era-based sets and reconstructing them with a new Joseon Dynasty appearance, with support from Mungyeong City's production funding. The construction cost was 7.5 billion won, and the scale includes 103 buildings on a 70,000㎡ site, such as Gwanghwamun, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Donggung Palace, Seowungwan, Gyeolnae Gagsа, and yangban houses, along with the existing 22 thatched-roof houses and 5 tile-roofed houses, for a total of 130 set buildings. ◎ Travel Information to Experience the Charm of Korean Wave The 'Mungyeong Saejae Open Set,' which served as the background for the capital of Daeho Kingdom in <환혼>, is famous not only as a filming location for <환혼> but also for many historical dramas including <킹덤>, <슈룹>, and <해를 품은 달>.
