Where to stay in Busan, and how to get there - Haeundae, Seomyeon, Busan Station, the airport and the KTX

Whether you land at Gimhae Airport or come down from Seoul on the KTX changes which one is easiest.

From Gimhae Airport into the city
- From Airport Station, the Busan-Gimhae Light Rail connects to subway Line 2 at Sasang and Line 3 at Daejeo.
- There are two airport bus lines. Line 1 goes to Haeundae and Gijang, Line 2 to Seomyeon and Bujeon.
- Once the seats are full you cannot board an airport bus. Busan City recommends booking on BUSTAGO, the intercity bus booking app. No cash: pay by credit card or transport card.
Between Seoul and Busan
- From Seoul Station to Busan Station the KTX takes between two and three-plus hours, depending on the train.
- From Suseo Station, on the Gangnam side of Seoul, the SRT runs to Busan Station.
You pay on the seller's own page (Agoda, KKday and the like); K-Style Trip never sees your card details.
Booking through this link costs you nothing extra - the price is exactly the same.
If a booking or a purchase completes, we separately receive a commission.
Book the KTX before you go
Buying directly from Korail often runs into the Korean identity verification that stops foreign visitors elsewhere on this trip. Seats from Seoul to Busan, Gyeongju, Jeonju, Daegu and Gangneung can be bought without it.
Airport buses: Busan City's announcement (service from 31 July 2025) and the partial change of 5 January 2026. Light rail transfers: the Busan-Gimhae Light Rail line. Areas: Agoda's own areas and stations. Fares and times change, so check BUSTAGO or KORAIL before you travel (checked 30 October 2026).
